Pressing/Riveting
Press-fit/riveting: Both techniques are key joining technologies in modern manufacturing that enable strong and durable connections. These proven processes are known for their efficiency and reliability and offer a wide range of applications in production. There are the following differences in the processes:
Press-fitting:
Press-fitting is a high-precision mechanical joining technique in which fasteners such as nuts or bolts are pressed into a component with high force. This method enables a permanent and strong connection without the need for additional materials or heat.
Advantages: high precision, no heat influence, quick and easy application, cost-efficient
Riveting:
Riveting is a traditional but proven method of joining multiple components. In this process, the components are joined by a rivet that is firmly fixed by deformation. This technology has also proven to be reliable in modern production.
Advantages: durable and strong connections, diverse materials, no thermal stress, simple inspection possible
Which machines are available?
- 1 semi-automated and one conventional machine for riveting and press-fitting standard parts, with stroke monitoring
- 4 assembly workstations for the completion of complex assemblies from in-house production, purchased and standardised parts. Screwed, glued and riveted connections are realised.
Pressing/Riveting: Which techniques do we offer?
In our production area for assembly work, our team offers flexible solutions for the installation of various connecting elements. Around 60% of our orders pass through the riveting/press-fitting department and, in addition to rivets, also receive press-fitting elements such as nuts, bolts, bushes, spacers and earthing lugs.
Whether after lasering, bending or powder coating – sheet metal parts or assemblies can be joined with the required press-fit elements and rivets after each production step.
Opt for our flexible riveting and press-fit solutions to make your production processes more efficient and ensure smooth assembly.
Other assembly methods include manual assembly, automated assembly, semi-automated assembly, gluing technology, welding and plug-in and glued connections.
Which process is best suited to your order?
Press-fitting is ideal for applications that require efficiency and high precision and where no additional heat needs to be applied.
Riveting is particularly suitable for heavy-duty connections and offers a tried and tested method that has proven itself in many applications.
