Surface treatment: deburring/grinding
Surface treatment: Surface finishing is of crucial importance in the modern metalworking industry. It not only ensures the aesthetically pleasing design of products, but also increases their functionality and durability. Whether for industrial applications, architecture or consumer goods – high-quality surface finishing is indispensable.
Why is surface finishing important?
Metals are naturally susceptible to corrosion and mechanical wear. A professional surface finish protects the material from environmental influences such as moisture, chemicals and UV radiation. It also improves electrical conductivity and heat dissipation and, depending on the process selected, can also optimise friction properties.
What technologies do we offer?
Wet sanding:
Wet sanding combines an abrasive with a special sanding fluid. This method reduces heat development, minimises the risk of material deformation and prevents grinding burn. Wet sanding is particularly suitable for the finest surface finishes and polished finishes that require the highest precision and quality.
Dry sanding:
In dry sanding, the abrasive is used without liquid. This method is more efficient and faster when removing coarse particles.
Deburring:
Deburring removes sharp edges, burrs and unevenness that can occur during cutting and punching. This technique not only improves the aesthetics of the parts, but also prevents injuries and increases the functionality and durability of the surface coating. Different deburring techniques are used depending on the material, size and shape of the workpiece and the specific requirements of the end product.
Powder coating:
In powder coating, a “color powder” is applied electrostatically to the metal and then baked at a high temperature. This process is environmentally friendly and offers a wide range of colors and different surface effects that give the products a high-quality and resistant coating.
Advantages:
Corrosion protection – Durability – Aesthetics – Functionality
What machines and processes are available in this area?
Two systems for decorative brushing, grinding and deburring of aluminium, stainless steel and other metals ensure the highest surface finish with the dry grinding process. For small parts we use a vibratory grinding system.
We use the continuous cleaning system with chemical baths to wash and clean components of machining residues. Since the beginning of the year, there has been a new wet grinding plant. For further surface treatment requirements, we offer powder coating, painting, screen printing and galvanic treatment processes via external partners.
