The start of BVS Systemtechnik
Expansion into the north of Germany. That was the market of choice for Harald Steiner, founder and managing director of BVS Systemtechnik, for the Schwerin branch in 2017. He was looking for capacity expansions in sheet metal processing for his company BVS Blechtechnik in Böblingen. Finally the driving force for a new plant in Schwerin was the strategic partnership with the customer ZIM Flugsitze and their increasing demand for aluminium assemblies for flight seats. At the same time, the production of prototypes and small series was another focal point of the new plant in Schwerin.
After a construction period of only eight months, the first employees of BVS Systemtechnik started production in April 2018. At the opening ceremony in June 2018, the Prime Minister of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Manuela Schwesig, praised the settlement in Schwerin and thanked the company for the enrichment of the business location.
Today the 30-strong BVS Systemtechnik team produces customer-specific sheet metal products, sheet metal parts or assembled components for the aviation, mechanical engineering, medical technology and electrical engineering sectors. The latest machines and equipment for sheet metal processing include punching/laser systems, bending machines, systems for deburring, grinding and degreasing as well as riveting and press-in machines, welding areas and assembly islands. Thanks to the latest digital technology, the production processes are networked with each other, resulting in a transparent and lean production flow.
