Structural work

Since August, the excavators and cranes have not stood still in the Schwerin industrial park…

… They are building the new plant of BVS Systemtechnik, in which products made of thin sheet metal for technical applications will be produced next spring. The shell of the entrance and administration area is already in place and the foundation walls of the 3,000 m² production and storage hall have been built. By October 6th, construction has progressed so far that a topping-out ceremony will be held to celebrate the first milestone of the young company. Together with Prime Minister Schwesig and Minister of Economics Glawe, the new company building is inaugurated with a topping-out crown. “We are pleased to establish this production plant in Schwerin. With the great potential of skilled workers from the region, we are sure that we are setting up a modern company that will develop into a strong pillar in our group of companies in the long term,” announced Harald Steiner, Managing Director of BVS Systemtechnik.

BVS Systemtechnik, founded as a subsidiary of BVS Blechtechnik, will in future manufacture prototypes as well as thin sheet metal products in small series for various industries. The Schwerin plant is aimed at new customers in northern Germany and, as an extended workbench of the Böblingen headquarters, will take on orders from existing business. In addition, BVS Systemtechnik produces flight seat assemblies in strategic partnership with the flight seat manufacturer ZIM, also located in the Schwerin industrial park. Starting in April 2018, the 25 new employees of Systemtechnik will punch, laser and bend the first sheet metal parts and deliver them to customers as assembled sheet metal components.
